Beautiful Summer field tunic of an SS-Hauptsturmführer of the Infantry. Light field-grey cotton cloth with dark-green collar and metal buttons, unlined version with integrated hanger (shortened) and opening for the sidearm, Iron Cross ribbon and several Loops for Awards. The side darts have been let out, you can see that in the different Color shades. Black collar patches with runes embroidered in silver and silver cord trim, the Rank Tab has still traces of blood on it. Sewn-in shoulder boards with black lining and white branch colour. The silhouette of the sleeve eagle still visible, all the other Insignias are period sewn.
This Tunic was found on a farm in Normandy where a German medical clearing station was located during the landing of the Allied Forces. Then in 2012 it was first time sold at HH Auctions and every since then it was in one Collection till i got it. First time now on the open Market. To me one of the best looking Waffen SS Officer Tunic i had the pleasure to own the past 30 Years. An absolute Gem!
